It Is A Girl!

She is Sara. And I am nenna²..

Ini gambar cucu baru. Alhamdulillah.

Days (and nights) have become somewhat un-organized. Our house smells like a kedai jamu. We keep going to the kedai to get things that are needed for baby and new mum recovery. For a while Sara looked a bit yellowish. And we still need to make adjustments to the little angel's schedule.

Maka nikmat Allah yang mana lagi yang hendak kita dustakan?

Happy Friday

I am aware that it is almost the end of Friday already (it has been a long day. And week, come to think of it). But good things must be shared. And better be late than never.

Just Like A Grown-up

Umar spent some time at the baby spa the other day.. (I didnt even know such places exist).

 

I thought the in-the-water photos are adorable.

Kata Umi, instead of the one hour Umar is entitled for he spent only 15 minutes in the spa before making a fuss. Dah letih.

The experience is meant for relaxation and longer sleep. Improve baby's health and growth. Brain development. For baby's confidence and parents-baby bonding. Sounds like a good plan.

What would they think of next?

It Is Glorious

It is about food actually. Glorious food.

First.

I decided to make laksa (although in fact nobody at home like it all that much..); I desperately want to try the nyonya style laksa recipe for so long. The recipe calls for fresh tumeric and so in goes the tumeric, right? Wrong, actually. The kuah laksa turned yellow (of course no surprises there because of the tumeric). When the laksa was served, everybody had to ask the obvious, ma kenapa kuah laksa ni kuning? Humphf.. Jadi kena cari resipi lain untuk laksa nyonya style. Some help here please, anyone? 

Then.

This is some candy-like treat from Japan. Almost like tart nenas (but the filling was not pineapple). Or mochi. Sweet. I like the sakura shape. And this is only available in spring in Japan.

Also.

Somebody celebrated his birthday recently. For that we bought a pecan cheese cake made by Aeda. Sedaaap. Never seen this much pecan on any cake before. It has got caramel topping too. Yumm.  
 
After that.

The children said, dah lama tak makan lepat. And, kalau beli lepat kat luar tak sedap - kadang2 keras atau takde kelapa. Atau kelapa tak fresh (I mean come on, would any mum miss big hints like that?)  Saya kurang suka buat sebab kerja lepat ni agak remeh - bab kena layur daun, potong dan lap pulak daun tu. Then kena bungkus lagi.. They said ok, we'll help. So voilà, this is our lepat. Seriously sedap.

Later.

Ada orang nak belanja lunch last weekend. And we said yeay!

Teramat Sedikit Pesanan Ini

 Bukankah kalau kita masuk ke kedai menjual minyak wangi, kita keluar pun berbau wangi..

And I've been reading a bit..

Dan janganlah kamu berbuat kerosakan di bumi sesudah Allah menyediakan segala yang membawa kebaikan padanya, dan berdoalah kepadaNya dengan perasaan bimbang (kalau-kalau tidak diterima) dan juga dengan perasaan terlalu mengharapkan (supaya makbul). Sesungguhnya rahmat Allah itu dekat kepada orang-orang yang memperbaiki amalannya.
 Al A'raaf 7:56

I like the part that goes " ... berdoalah kepadaNya dengan perasaan bimbang (kalau-kalau tidak diterima) dan juga dengan perasaan terlalu mengharapkan (supaya makbul) ...". Kadang2 tertanya2 kenapa doa masih tidak dimakbulkan Allah, saya agak mungkin juga kerana tidak berdoa sebegini. Doa sambil lalu dan dengan lewa.

Dan.

Saya ada terdengar ceramah berkaitan kalimah ini. Tetapi nanti saya pastikan sebetulnya apa yang diberitahu ustaz dan akan share kemudian. Buat masa ini, amalkan lah.

 Juga.

Selamat mencari kekuatan untuk kesejahteraan abadi.
